Triathlon
As I'm sure a lot of our customers within the Leeds and Wortley area will already know, a close friend of the team Tom Hairyes sadly passed away at the age of 26 two weeks ago. It was an unexpected loss and it has really hit our family hard, with many of the Kendrew's touched by Tom's friendship.
Tom was so full of life and such a nice, honest and genuine person to all those around him. Myself Adam and our technician Dan for one can't thank him enough for being such a smashing best mate to our brother Joe, they were truly insperable and we can definitely feel Joe's pain and loss. The great thing about Tom was the fact he not only welcomed Joe into his life, but also all of his extended friendship group too and treated us with the same dignity and respect that he would his own friends. That meant a lot to us personally and we'll be forever greatful and happy to have called Tom a friend.
As a personal thank you to Tom and to celebrate his life, me and Dan have decided to dedicate our upcoming triathlon to him and look to raise some extra money towards the West Riding Kidney Patients Association and also for a memorial bench for Tom. Any donations will be appreciated and it will be great to take part in a competition one last time for Tom.
